Five Lankan Footballers play in Male' by N. U. Abdul Razzak reporting from the Maldives The captain of the Sri Lankan National football team Dudley Steinwell and four other national players have joined the two leading division one football clubs for this season here in Male' the capital city in Maldives. Twenty seven year old solid defender Dudley plays along with Chatura Maduranga for the club Valencia that was ranked as the best football club in Maldives. Three other Sri Lankan national caps E. B. Channa, Isuru Perera and Niroshan Abeyasekara are in action for the Island Football Club (I.F.C), which has lifted the F.A. Cup this year. |
