Grenade explodes in court as judge tests evidence ISLAMABAD, Tuesday (AFP) A judge was injured when a grenade produced as evidence in a trial exploded in his hand when he pulled the pin after the accused claimed it was not real, a report said Tuesday. The accused, Khalil-ur-Rehman, first challenged the police to produce the hand grenade allegedly found in his possession and, when they did, claimed it was not genuine, The News reported. "The learned judge took the grenade in his hand and removed the pin during the course of arguments, and the device instantly exploded with a bang in his hand," the newspaper said. The judge, Mohammad Jahangir Mir, was taken to hospital. No details were given of his injuries, but he was declared to be out of danger.
