Talduwa Rally cross on May 12

The Talduwa Rally Cross which is to be held on May 12 with practices on May 11 has attracted a record number of 130 entries for the 24 events.

Fifty Motor Cycles will be coming on to the start line to prove their supremacy. The names such as Yatawake Sendurawarna, Manjula Liyanage, Indika Gurusingha, Duane Gunawardena and from the forces Nishantha Attygalle will be in the forefront.

Of the Motor Car entries of 80, Madushan Manapperuma, Nalin Perera Carmen Thenuwara and Dinesh Deheragoda coming from his success in the hills will be competing in the hot class of M&S over 1655 event.

In the new events introduced for the first time called the one make series there is Rohan De Silva, Nihal Weerasingha, Carman Thenuwara and others fighting for the Nissan March Series. Then we have Hafiz Cader Buddhika de Silva, Rohitha De Silva & 7 others fighting for the mini series. Colonel Mayadunna, Rohan De Silva & the Evergreen Kumar Samarasinghe will be given a hard time by the new stars Tariq Hassan and Dilshad Hambdoon in the Ford Lazer / Mazda Series.

The Races start at 8 am on Sunday and Spectors hoping to get there have to come to Avissawella and at the Talduwa Junction runs left towards the KV Club which is approximately 45 mts drive from Colombo.
