The second event in the travel trade sports calender for 2002 volleyball championships will be held on Saturday, 18th May, at the Sir Albert F. Peiris Stadium, Wennappuwa.

Serendib Leisure Management has come forward to sponsor this popular event for the first time.

For the first time the tournament has been shifted from the Southern Province to the Western Province.

The tournament has attracted over 30 teams but the tournament committee has decided to limit the teams to 24 due to the heavy match schedule.

Entries will close on 14th May and the draw will be held on the same day at the Holiday Inn.

The official handing over of the sponsorship will also be held on this day.
