'SLRCS' share vital in bringing peace'

Professor Ganesalingam, Vice President of the National Sri Lanka Red Cross Societies (SLRCS) speaking at the 11th annual general meeting of the Trincomalee district branch of the SLRCS said that the activities launched of the Trincomalee branch and commitment of the office bearers were commendable and thanked all members of the society for the services done.

Chairman, Trincomalee district branch Dr. E. G. Gnanakunalan stressed the importance of the future activities in an atmosphere of the ceasefire agreement. He requested all divisions and members to spare more time to elevate the welfare of the people of Trincomalee. He also pointed out that it was the duty of the divisions to prepare appropriate project proposals of this purpose.

Dr. E. G. Gnanakunalan, A. H. Prematillake, S. H. Nimalkumar and S. Jeyeshanker were also elected chairman, vice chairman, secretary and treasurer respectively at the AGM.
