SLFP Gen. Sec. granted personal bail

Former Mahaweli Development Minister and SLFP General Secretary, Maitripala Sirisena against whom the Polonnaruwa police is seeking prosecution for holding out murder threats against Irrigation Minister, H. G. P. Nelson's daughter and son during the period of last general elections surrendered before Polonnaruwa District Judge, Saman Wickremarachchi last morning (06) through his lawyers.

He was released on personal bail in a sum of Rs. 50,000 with two sureties.
