eCPE for Chartered Accountants The Manage Mentor (TMM), Asia's first knowledge and networking portal for professionals has been recognised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL) as a Continuous Professional Education (CPE) tool. This knowledge portal will be introduced and launched as eCPE tool to its members today at the ICASL auditorium. TMM is a Knowledge Repository with the content, of the knowledge on the site being managerial in orientation and are aligned across six functional areas viz. Finance/Accounting, Strategic Management, Information Technology, Human Resources, Manufacturing and Marketing and Sales. The members of ICASL will now have access to this electronic knowledge repository, at a concessionary subscription rate, as another means to keep themselves most current and contemporary in their areas of expertise. With the Chartered Accountants facing new challenges and with a learning curve more dynamic than ever before, members are expected to benefit from this tool. This tool is relevant in the context of ICASL members being spread wide across Manufacturing and Service industries, Consulting and Practice and also across the globe. This tool is expected to cater to the professional needs of these diverse groups. As professional development needs differ from individual to individual depending on his/her experience, knowledge and skill this tool is expected to give the members an updated learning experience that will be broadbased, flexible and highly individualised in nature. All members of ICASL are expected to comply with a self-regulatory scheme for CPE to maintain and continually improve their technical knowledge and professional skills. TMM operates out of India and among the institutes that has recognised TMM as a CPE tool are Administrative Staff College of India, Institute of Chartered Financial Analyst of India, Chartered Institute of Management Accountants Malaysia and nearly 10,000 professionals working in more than 100 blue chip companies are part of this fast expanding network. |
