by Sarath Malalasekera The United States of America has allocated a sum of US $1,67238 to Sri Lanka as assistance for local low Enforcement Training in counter narcotics operations at the Bandaranaike International Airport and Maritime - Coastal Narcotics Interdiction. Recently an agreement in connection with their allocation was signed at the US Embassy. US Ambassador Ashley W. Wills signed on behalf of the USA and Senior Superintendent of Police Pujith Jayasundara, Director Police Narcotics Bureau signed on behalf of the Sri Lanka Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB). Senior SP Jayasundara said that the US training will help the PNB officials to conduct investigations into all narcotics cases efficiently and smoothly. |
