Yaveen beats Sasith - takes under-18 tennis title Fifteen year old Royalist Yaveen Jayasekara, the bottom seed, beat top seed Sasith Wickremasinghe 3/6, 6/4, 6/2 in the boys under-18 final at the Robbialac Junior Masters Tennis Championship, played at the Queens Club Courts yesterday. Yaveen having lost the first set took command of the other two with powerful ground strokes and well placed volleys to win in a thrilling final. This was the first major upset seen at this tournament which will conclude this weekend. |
