BCCSL Quadrangular: Lanka 'A' on first innings

Sri Lanka 'A' had to be satisfied with first innings points win over Sri Lanka Schools in their BCCSL invitation quadrangular cricket tournament match concluded at NCC grounds, Maitland Place yesterday.

The Sri Lanka Schools team were dismissed for their overnight score of 165 for 9 giving Sri Lanka 'A' first innings lead of 235 runs. Sri Lanka 'A' batting the second time were bowled out for 212 with a top score of 60 coming from the Jehan Mubarak. Sri Lanka Schools needing 448 runs to win reached 89 for 4 at stumps.

Shantha helps Development Squad

A fine knock of 77 by Shantha Kalawitigoda helped the Development Squad beat the Combined Club XI on the first innings in their BCCSL invitation quadrangular cricket tournament match concluded at Reid Avenue yesterday.

Combined Club XI 168 and 188 for 2 (Nuwan Shiroman 105 n.o, Upul Fernando 36, Sanjeewa Silva 20 n.o)
