The 20th annual Rupavahini Volleyball Championships conducted by National Youth Services Council and Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation will commence on April 22 with the men's matches at National Youth Services Centre in Maharagama.

The championships has attracted 64 teams from all parts of the island. These 64 teams have been grouped into four groups each containing 16 teams.

All matches of all groups are expected to be completed by April 30.

Meanwhile the women's competition too has attracted 54 teams and are grouped as ABC & D. The preliminary matches are scheduled for April 26 and comes to a close on April 30. Upto semi-final stage all games are decided on best of three sets and the final.

The finals which will be played for five sets are scheduled for May 7 at the same venue.
