Eagle receives Best Annual Report and Accounts award in Insurance sector for 8th year Eagle Insurance once again gained recognition in the corporate financial world when the Company's Report and Accounts for the year 2000, was adjudged the best in the Insurance Sector, at the annual awards ceremony held recently. The "Best Corporate Report and Accounts" competition is organised by the Institute of Chartered Accounts of Sri Lanka. This recognition which the company has consecutively received for the past eight years is an endorsement of the company's emphasis on ethical corporate values and good governance practices. As such the accounts have clearly and consistently been in compliance with statutory and best accounting practice standards. "Stakeholders of the company can thus be confident that the company is maintaining such high standards in ensuring transparency and disseminating information", said the General Manager/Head Finance Priya Aponso. The theme of the 2000 Annual report was Eagle's commitment to protect its stakeholders day and night - with the cycle repeating itself to see days growing into years. This was ensured by providing greater security and returns to policyholders and by building and strengthening relationships while establishing a valuable empathy that is put back into the business in the form of new products and services. |
