by Kataragama group correspondent The Asian Development Bank has granted Rs. 186 million to develop Thissamaharama town according to a plan suggested by the Urban Development Authority, a spokesman for Tissamaharama Pradeshiya Sabha told the Daily News. A market complex, spacious land for a fair with modern facilities, a new bus stand, lavatories and a modern network of gutters are included in the plan. In addition to it, main roads and sub-ways in the suburb areas of Tissamaharama will be developed. Rubberwatta road, a short cut from Tissamaharama to Debarawewa has been widened and carpeted ensuring motorists a smooth ride to Tissamaharama town. |
