With a goal of getting closer to the customer and creating a real people friendly supermarket, Cargills has worked with the ideas from the ground up. Employees were encouraged to vie with their own promotional and creative ideas which resulted in the Food City in Gamapaha creating their own 'rabana' and other New Year customs. Cargills will be offering Rs. 2.5 million to be won in cash for shoppers at their outlets, in addition to 500 gold sovereigns that are on offer. This promotion will go on until May, 31 with the winners being selected in two draws. For every purchase of Rs. 300, a sticker is provided and 10 stickers entitles a customer to this grand draw. This promotion was introduced by a young female manager from the Cargills Food City branch in Malabe. Cargills offer over 200 products on their 'Best Buy' scheme at a special discounted rate and also offer attractive discounts for most frequently purchased goods. |
