Under the new initiative of the UNF Government to brief SAARC leaders on the current peace process of Sri Lanka, Foreign Minister Tyronne Fernando left for Bangladesh yesterday morning, said a press release issued by the Minister of Foreign Affairs. He will brief Bangladesh leaders including Prime Minister Khaleda Zia and her counterpart M. Morshed Khan during the four-day official visit. Bilateral and SAARC issues will also be subjected to discussions. Minister Fernando already visited India and Nepal. He was accompanied by Ministry's SAARC divisional head Sarala Fernando and minister's private secretary Captain Patrick Jayasinghe. |
