Workshop on E-Consciousness The Sri Lanka - United Nations Friendship Organisation (SUNFO) centre for the development of full human potential will conduct a three-day workshop on E-Consciousness from May 11 to 13 in Colombo. During the first two days of the workshop the participants will be taught to develop skills for stress control, basics of neuro linguistic programming, screen techniques and erasure techniques to cope with the demands. Areas such as self-esteem and assertiveness skills, depressions and obsessive habits, body type, nutrition and exercises will also be discussed. The workshop is a collective exercise and is expected to equip the participant to run on 'auto pilot' through the rest of the program which will be an individual exercise using a 250 paged manual and a specially designed 20 minutes relaxation cassette. Sections covered over this period of time will give the individual an insight into a number of important areas of life from birth to death, the organisers said. E-Consciousness is a concept that strives for the effective management of feelings, emotions, thought and removal of negative traits. It is a state achieved by correcting the imbalances of the nervous system, thus bringing about a complete change in the personality on any individual. This concept is the brainchild of Prof. Lakshman Madurasinghe who will be the course director at the workshop. |
