Four stamps depicting natural beauty issued

Four Postal Stamps depicting the natural beauty of Sri Lanka were issued on April 10, at the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, Battaramulla.

Mass Media Minister Imitiaz Bakeer Markar, addressing the participants at the occasion said that on this day marking the last day of the Government's 100 days Development Program, it is fortunate to issue four environment related stamps and that the present Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe follows certain principles and yardsticks in the issue of stamps.

Before the UNF Government came in to power, postal stamps were printed abroad, but the four stamps issued on this occasion were printed in Sri Lanka, he said.
