Women today are in all political and social development projects- Minister Bakeer Markar

Minister of mass-communication Imitiaze Bakeer Markar express his surprise to have met such a large number of women who are dedicated to the "Tharuni" news paper.

He participated in the seminar organised by "Tharuni" newspaper recently at the Town Hall premises Kalutara.

This seminar was held with the participating expert hair dressers and beauty culturists.

The minister said further that "Tharuni" newspaper organises this type of seminars in different parts of the country for the benefit of the women folk and that is why so many members have participated in this program.

The women today are in all political and social development projects. They contribute largely for the benefit for all the people. Even men are attracted towards the developments projects, because of women participating without any distinction of caste, creed. All of them flock together and work towards the goal of development of the country, he stated.

The Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has created facilities for women to participate in such programs which should be appreciated by all the women.

The seminar was sponsored by Mrs. Indunil Dissanayake.
