Pakistan, Sri Lanka and New Zealand to feature in Sharjah Cup NEW DELHI, March 14 (AFP) - Pakistan will clash with Sri Lanka in the opening match of the three-nation Sharjah Cup limited-overs tournament in the United Arab Emirates, organisers said on Thursday. New Zealand are the third team in the tournament that runs from April 8 to 17, the Cricketers' Benefit Fund Series announced in a media release. Each team will play the other twice in the preliminary league with the top two advancing to the final on April 17. New Zealand will tour Pakistan at the end of the tournament for the rescheduled series of two Tests and three one-day internationals. Sharjah, in the United Arab Emirates, has hosted more one-day internationals (184) than any other venue in the world. Last month it hosted the first ever Test series played at a neutral venue when Pakistan beat West Indies 2-0. Sharjah Cup schedule: April 8: Pakistan v Sri Lanka |
