AGM of BCC on Feb 16 to 17 in ND The Annual General Meeting of the World Blind Cricket Council will be held in New Delhi, India, on the 16th and 17th February 2002. In addition to the election of office-bearers, the main item will be the finalising of arrangements for the 2nd World Cup for visually handicapped cricketers which will now be held in India in December 2002. This tourney had been scheduled for January 2002 in New Zealand but had to be postponed due to the unsettled situation internationally arising from the attacks on the World Trade Centre in the USA. R.A. Sirisena, President, and Mr. Alex Jayawardena, Secretary of the National Cricket Association of the Blind, will represent Sri Lanka at the above-mentioned meeting. The NCAB has commenced preparations to pick the national team and to raise the funds required. The support of cricket fans and the generous public would be most welcome.
