A 9 repairs begin

from Vavuniya Group Correspondent

The first phase of the A9 road reapirs from Mankulam to Jaffna has already been started at a cost of Rs.10 million, Vavuniya District Secretary K.Ganesh said yesterday.

He said the road from Vavuniya to Mankulam was motorable but the road beyond should be repaired soon to enable vehicular traffic to move smoothly.

Under the first phase, repairs will be carried out upto Kilinochchi and from there to Jaffna under the second phase. Steps will be taken to provide other necessary infrastructure facilities after the completion of the A9 road, the GA said.
