SC cancels SP promotions: Compensation- Rs. 460,000 by respondents, Rs. 300,000 by State

The Supreme Court yesterday cancelled promotions of 34 Superintendents of Police (SP), who were promoted in May, 2000. The order was a sequel to five Fundamental Rights applications filed by 46 Assistant Superintendent of Police.
