UNP denies Navin's resignation

A copy of a letter addressed to Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe purpoted to be from Deputy Plantation Industries Minister, Navin Dissanayake tendering his resignation from his position as the UNP organiser for Nuwara Eliya was received yesterday by the Daily News.

However, a spokesman for the Prime Minister's Office denied receiving such a letter from Deputy Minister Navin Dissanayake.

When contacted, UNP General Secretary Senerath Kapukotuwa also denied receiving such a letter.

Deputy Minister Navin Dissanayke was not available for comment.
