A commemorative pinkama to mark the 116th birth anniversary of ANCL founder late Mr. D.R. Wijewardene will be held at Lake House on February 23 and 24. The program will include an allnight pirith chanting on February 23 followed by a Sanghika dana to 25 bhikkhus on February 24 forenoon.

The Maha Sangha led by Vidyodaya Parivenadhipati Ven. Akuretiye Amarawansa Nayake Thera, Kelaniya University Chancellor, Ven. Welamitiyawe Kusaladhamma Chief Sanghanayake Thera of Colombo and Chilaw District and Hunupitiya, Gangarama Viharadhipati Ven. Galaboda Gnanissara Thera will participate on the invitation of Ven. Dr. Ittademaliye Indrasara Thera, Viharadhipati, Sri Sambuddhloka Viharaya, Fort, Colombo.

The pinkama is organised by the Lake House Buddhist Society and ANCL employees under the direction of the ANCL management.
