Arrangements have been made by the Hatton National Bank, Nawalapitiya branch to celebrate its 30th anniversary during the whole of the first week of February 2002.

Accordingly religious activities including an all night "Pirith" chanting followed by a "Sangika Dana" will be held at the bank premises along with Hindu, Christian and Islamic religious rites at the respective places of worship.

Two mini Hydro Projects generating 12kw of electricity to cater to 78 families at Amanawala and 60 families in Dombepola, both villages in the Yatiyantota electorate, will also be commissioned.
