Lillee to help young England pacemen LONDON, Friday (AFP) - Former Australia fast bowler Dennis Lillee will coach two of England's most promising pacemen it was announced Thursday. Mark Footitt and Adam Harrison, both 16, will travel to India for two weeks of tuition at the Pace Foundation in Madras, where they will come under the expert eye of legendary quick Lillee. Footitt, a quick left-armer with Nottinghamshire, and Glamorgan's right-armer Harrison both played for England Under-15s last season. England youth bowling coach Andy Pick said: "This is a wonderful opportunity for these two youngsters. They both have genuine fast bowling talent and they are bound to benefit from someone of Dennis Lillee's calibre." This is the second time that the England and Wales Cricket Board has taken young fast bowlers to Madras. Last year Gary Ramsden from Yorkshire and David Harrison, Adam's brother, from Glamorgan were chosen. |
