Pathum Vimana 2002 to offer more prizes

Hatton National Bank's Pathum Vimana Scheme - 2002 will offer more prizes including a Rs. Four million house, a Suzuki Grand Vitara car, ten prizes of computers worth Rs. 100,000 each and 50 cash prizes of Rs. 50,000 each.

If a minimum of three family members - spouse, children, parents, brothers, sisters or even grandparents apart from the original account holder - also maintain Pathum Vimana accounts, winners will receive additional prizes of a Suzuki Jimny, household goods worth Rs. 500,000, one of ten 29" colour televisions each worth Rs. 50,000 or one of 50 cash prizes of Rs. 25,000 each, a bank official said.

HNB's growing network of branches, which currently stands at 109, has been divided into nine regions and a Regional Draw will be held in June 2002. Each of these nine regions will have winners of a house worth Rs. 1 million, a three-wheeler worth Rs. 200,000, a computer worth Rs. 100,000, three prizes of home appliances worth Rs. 50,000 each, five cash prizes of Rs. 25,000 each and 25 gold coins, he said.

Branch-based draws have been a regular feature of Pathum Vimana for sometime and will this year, be held in April in time for Avurudu and in December with Christmas in view. Each of the branches - all 109 of them - offer a cash prize of Rs. 25,000, five cash prizes of Rs. 10,000 each and ten cash prizes of Rs. 5,000 each at each of the draws, he said.

To be in line for these prizes, a customer should maintain a balance of Rs. 10,000 in a Savings or Silverline Account or Rs. 5,000 in a Current Account for a minimum period of one calendar month immediately prior to the respective draws, he said.

Savings accounts or Silverline accounts with a balance of Rs. 100,000 or more and Current accounts with Rs. 50,000 or more will have the chance to win a prize at the Pathum Vimana 'Premium' Draw: a BMW car.
