Falling coconut kills man

A man died when a coconut fell on him. This was revealed at the
inquest into the death of Buddika Priyanjana Perera of Wellampitiya held
by City Coroner Edward Ahangama last week. Eye witness Newton Colomba
Arachi testified that Perera was an interdicted CTB driver and was doing
casual jobs.
He said on the day of the incident, a coconut had fallen on Perera's
head while he was walking. He was unable to stand and admitted to the
National Hospital where he got fever before succumbing to his injuries. |
