Sparkling knock of 175 by Gayle
A sparkling knock of 175 runs inclusive of 17 sixes and 13 fours by
West Indian Chris Gayle helped Royal Challengers Bangalore to beat Pune
Warriors by 130 runs in their IPL match played at M. Chinnaswamy stadum,
Bangalore yesterday. Chris made his belligerent knock in 66 deliveries
and put on a fine 167 first wicket stand with Sri Lanka's Tillekeratne
Dilshan who contributed 33 runs.
In reply, Pune Warriors were bowled for 133 for the loss of nine
wickets. SPD Smith(41) was the only batsman to excel for Pune Warriors.
Gayle also bagged two wickets while R.Rampaul and JD Unadkat also took
two wickets each.
