Foxhill Supercross on April 20
Hutch powers 21st version:
Hutch has stepped up to support as the principal sponsor and
exclusive telecomunication partner of Sri Lanka's most popular motor
racing event- Fox Hill Supercross 2013 on April 20, conducted annually
by the Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA).
The company and brand is no stranger to Foxhill races, having
associated with the SLMA on two previous occasions (in 2008 /2009). This
year's motocross has great significance to the history of the legendary
"Fox Hill" in Diyatalawa, as it marks the centenary year since its
inception in 1913.
The partnership with Foxhill Supercross this year is of even more
significance to Hutch since its launch of 3G services last year. The
company has completed its nationwide 3G roll out across all 25 districts
of Sri Lanka and is delivering a superior experience that is different
to the customer.
Speaking at the Media briefing organized by the Sri Lanka Military
Academy in association with Sri Lanka Auto Drivers Association held
recently, the Chief Executive Officer of Hutch Thirukumar Nadarasa said
"Our business focus has always been to build and reinforce a strong
rural network and serve the community that required communication
facility most.
Today the Government is highly focused on developing the regional
economy. To support the achievement of a robust regional economy,
affordable and reliable telecommunication facilities are vital. This is
even more important in the case of broadband data connectivity, with
which all the regions can now be connected to Colombo and the rest of
the world to facilitate commerce and social development. "Motor racing
is all about speed thrills and experience which is exactly what Hutch 3G
is all about" he said. Hutch 3G networks assures internet users the
speed they could truly feel the difference which is the most vital
factor in a 3G network besides having been able to enjoy seamless
connectivity in any part of the country, he added.
Brigadier Indunil Ranasinghe, Commandant of the Military Academy and
Chairman of the Foxhill Organising Committee said that he was most happy
to welcome Hutch back as a Principal Sponsor in the centenary year of
Foxhill and the 21st annual Supercross races. Hutch presence is a source
of strength to the Organisers in view of the network's capacity
stability and consistency in its approach to service, he added. |
