Red FM to hit airwaves today

Red FM, a new English radio channel, will hit the airwaves today. The venture, powered by CSN, promises to bring a new experience to Sri Lanka's ever-expanding English radio listener-base.

Red FM, billed as 'Radio Redefined', expects to pay more attention to local talent than currently given by English radio stations, as it hopes to bridge the current gap that exists among international and local artistes/talent.

All local organizations/entertainers are encouraged to reach out to Red FM so as to be provided with a stable platform from which to showcase ability to the rest of the nation. In addition, however, Red FM's musical content is also exclusive insofar that nearly every generation that still tunes into radio will be offered something pleasing.

Red FM will take English radio on the island to standards of the highest order.
