J R Jayewardene Centre to be developed as research, study centre on
Lankan leaders
The J R Jayewardene Centre in Colombo will be developed as a centre
for research and study on the lives and times of Sri Lankan leaders.
President Mahinda Rajapaksa chaired a discussion regarding the
development of the J R Jayewardene Centre at Temple Trees yesterday.
Attention was drawn towards developing the centre to help and enhance
the knowledge of those keen on Sri Lankan politics, students of politics
and those actively involved in politics.
Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa, Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe,
Secretary to the President Lalith Weerathunga, Secretary General of
Parliament Dhammika Dissanayake, Public Trustee Sarath Senevirathne,
late President J R Jayewardene's grandson Amrith and officials of the
centre were also present.
