Girl dies during mini marathon

A 17-year-old school girl died after collapsing while participating
in a long distance race at her school's inter house sports meet. Anusha
Kumari of Aranayaka Rivisanda Central College, Mawanella was a grade 13
Commerce student. The incident occurred last morning while she was
taking part in the 5,000 meter race.
Teachers and fellow students rushed Kumari to the Mawanella hospital,
where she was pronounced dead.
She is the eldest in a family of four residng in Rahala, Aranayake.
