Jeewan wins ‘Independence Day’ Road Race

Jeewan Kumara of Gatambe Municipal Playgrounds won the Independence
Day Road Race organized by the Sports Dept. of the Kandy Municipality
for the 42nd year. Schools’ race was won by Dharshana Tharindu of Sri
Rahula College, Katugastota. Kandy Mayor Mahen Ratwatte distributed the
prizes. Deputy Mayor Sena Dissanayake and Municipal Commissioner
Chandana Tennakoon were also present on this occasion.
The following competitors secured the first three places of different
races conducted simultaneously.
