Patient dies after doctor's medicine

A tense situation prevailed in the Kalpitiya area last evening when a
patient died after a particular drug was given to him by a doctor at a
private dispensary. North Western Health Minister Ashoka Wadigamangawa
stated that he learnt that the doctor was attached to the Kalpitiya
Hospital and that he instructed the authorities to conduct a detailed
investigation into the incident.
Sources also revealed that after the patient's death around 200
relatives and close associates surrounded the Kalpitiya Hospital
creating a tense situation. The body of the victim is at the Kalpitiya
hospital. |
