The embassy of Sri Lanka in Beijing together with the Sri Lanka
Tourism Promotion Bureau and SriLankan Airlines organised a series of
events to promote Sri Lanka as a tourist destination in Shanghai,
Hangzhou and Chengdu in China to attract Chinese tourists to Sri Lanka
including those traveling overseas during the Chinese Spring Festival

Travel Mart 2012 (CITM) Exhibition held from November 15 to 18 in
Shanghai and the Chengdu International Travel Fair 2012 (CITF)
Exhibition held from November 30 to December 2 in Chengdu.
The Sri Lankan embassy in consultation with the Sri Lanka Tourism
Promotion Bureau, designed the Sri Lanka pavilions to exhibit the eight
product categories of Sri Lanka tourism and were awarded the Best
Organizer Award of CITM 2012 in Shanghai and Certificate of Appreciation
at CITF 2012 in Chengdu.
SriLankan Airlines and 12 leading tour operators from Sri Lanka
participated.
On the sidelines of the CITM Shanghai and the CITF Chengdu, the Sri
Lanka embassy together with the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau also
organised Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Road Shows in Hangzhou on November
