Abortion centre raided
Ariyapala Wansathilake- Kurunegala Central Special
An abortion centre was raided by Kurunegala Police at
Welangollawattha, Kurunegala on Monday. Police arrested a Medical
Practitioner and three women.
The doctor is a resident of Yakkala. According to Police, the doctor
had allegedly charged between Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000 for an abortion.
They were remanded on being produced before the Kurunegala Chief
Magistrate. |
