NFF to protest against US interference at its May Day rally

The National Freedom Front said it will hold its May Day in protest of US interference in the internal affairs of Sri Lanka, NFF

Political Centre Committee Member Piyasiri Wijenayake said.

He said that, the party will hold May Day under the theme of " Let us not surrender to the influence of imperialism. Let us not bow our heads to imperialism, People for patriotic people's force, " he said. He was addressing a press conference at the NFF headquarters in Battaramulla, yesterday.

"The UNP is going to hold their May Day in Jaffna with the participation of the TNA. They are working towards a separate country.

'The JVP has joined with the imperialists. They are planning to establish hate politics," he said.

Some NGOs are also working for Dollars, he said. Wijenayake added that the NFF will hold the May Day rally along with the UPFA against the terrorism of the US.

'Under the Geneva proposals US wants to interfere in the country's affairs. Many parties are helping them carry out their designs in exchange for dollars.

"We are going to hold the May Day as a demonstration against this anti government attempt, he said. 'Many patriotic organizations including university lecturers, scholars, businessmen, students and public will participate in the NFF May Day rally, he said.

"We line up to achieve national independence and to defeat imperialism," he said.

'Some parties target to create a path to destroy the government this May Day. We condemn such anti-nationalistic attempts", he said.
