Indians nabbed trying to smuggle satellite receivers

Custom officers at the Bandaranaike International Airport nabbed two
Indian nationals who attempted to smuggle 240 satellite receivers into
the country yesterday.
The suspects from Chennai had also brought the satellite phones from
Chennai, Customs sources said.
Customs officials discovered the satellite phones methodically packed
in their luggage.
The cost of the receivers, which were confiscated, has not been
estimated yet.
Investigations are continuing. |
