Casa Serena Gallery is having an art exhibition and sale under the
theme 'The Art for Sale'. It is open to the public till March 24. It is
an exceptional collection of traditional, contemporary and abstract
paintings dated from the 1930s to 2012. This will be an interesting
experience for lovers of good quality art.
The exhibition will feature paintings by Noel Abeysinghe (1930-
2007), Alexander Sofronoff, P E P Deraniyagala (1900-1973), Donald
Ramanayake (1920-1993) and Saraswathi Rockwood (1925- 2011). Amongst the
contemporary artists are well known painters like R Segar, Nihal Sangabo
Dias, Sarath Chandrajeewa and Samira Kalupahana, as well as unknown, yet
highly talented figures.
Some of the paintings are conservative and academic some are highly
contemporary and very modern. Many of the modern works are very
inventive and innovative, yet they manage to be so without compromising
the identity of the artist.
Timo needs a home
My name is Timo and I'm badly in need of a home.
My owner passed away and I now have nowhere to go.
When she was alive I really had the 'GOOD LIFE'. I am now with her
son but I cant stay there as his dog always fights with me and wants to
get me out of there. All my
vaccinations are up to date and I am a loving and friendly dog.
