Minister wants IGP to forward list of SLFPers accused of illegal activities

Sri Lanka Freedom Party General Secretary and Health Minister Maithripala Sirisena has informed IGP N.K.Illangakoon to produce a list of SLFP organizers, SLFP Provincial Councillors and SLFP Pradeshiya Sabha members who have been accused of bribery, corruption, malpractices and other illegal activities.

Minister Sirisena said that accordingly, the IGP will forward to him the list along with a special report soon.

A similar list and report will be produced by all SLFP organizers in all electorates.

"After obtaining the lists of names and the reports, they will be forwarded to the SLFP Central Committee".

Minister Sirisena said that if found guilty, stern action will be taken against SLFP organizers, Provincial Councillors and Pradeshiya Sabha

members through the SLFP Central Committee. Each member will be investigated after obtaining the list of names and reports from the organizers and the IGP.

All SLFP organizers, provincial councilors and pradeshiya sabha members will definitely lose their positions if found guilty, minister Sirisena added.
