Superb performances by Sanka Ramesh

Sanka Ramesh with a superb all-round performance of 101 runs and a match bag of 8 for 30 enabled Moratu Vidyalaya to gain a first innings win over St. Anne's College, Kurunegala in their rain hit drawn inter-school under 19 cricket match conducted at Moratuwa.

Sanka Ramesh who hit seventeen boundaries and occupied the crease for 119 minutes and faced 76 balls in his magnificent knock. So far he had scored 710 runs and taken 88 wickets in twelve matches.

In reply to the visitors score of 99 runs vidyalians declared at 149 for 8 with skipper Evan Fernando claiming 5 for 40 and in their second essay when rain stopped play they were 30 for 4 with Sanka Ramesh taking 3 for 15.
