First innings win for De Mazenod

De Mazenod College, Kandana recorded a first innings win over Maris
Stella College Negombo in their inter-schools under-19 match which
concluded at Kandana yesterday. However, Mazedonians second innings was
restricted to 138 with the help of some brilliant bowling by Sathira
Dileepa who took 6 for 46. Maris Stella were 57 for 4 at close when rain
interrupted the game.
De Mazenod : 207 ( Shanil Perera 57, Kavinda Manamperi 49,
Shaluka Deemantha 34, Ruwin Sinniah 3 for 49) and 138 ( Jude Madushan
64, Shanil Perera 30, Sathira Dileepa 6 for 46)
Maris Stella : 146 ( Anjula Jayasinghe 30, Thusitha Peiris 25,
Shehan Dilasiri 25, Shaluka Deemantha 5 for 54, Lahiru Wickramasinghe 4
for 45) and 57 for 4.
