Housekeeping, Cleaning equipment donation to SLITHM by karcher Germany

Karcher of Germany donated cleaning equipment worth of Rs. three million to be used for training at SriLanka Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management (SLITHM) through its authorized agent Thudawe trading (pvt ) ltd recently at SLTHM.

The equipment will be officially handed over to Director General SLITHM Dr Suranga Silva by Wasntha Thudawe Chairman cum Managing Director Thudawe Trading (pvt ) ltd and Albert Meyer from Karcher Germany .

T L B Hurulle Senior Manager, Prabath Adikari technical manager, Thudawe Trading , Upali Ratnayake Registrar SLITHM, Irandi Wijegunewardane Snr Lecture , Lenard Perera , Namal Muhandiramge and other faculty members will participate .

Dr. Suranga Silva, Director General of SLITHM commented that ,this donation was possible due to the collaborative effort between Karcher Germany, Thudawe Trading & SLITHM. DG thanked sponsors for stepping in at the right time, specially at a time of a boom in tourism and where there is a large scope for employment for House Keeping professionals in SriLankan Hotels.

Irandi Wijegunewardane senior Lecturere Housekeeping dept is to make a presentation on HK training methodologies and a site tour of the practical areas.
