Stabbing case: suspect remanded

A man who allegedly stabbed a woman to death was remanded until
February 22 by Horana magistrate Mahinda Ranasingha. The suspect is a
resident of Yagirala, Matugama.
The woman aged 27, an employee of a factory in Ingiriya town, was
stabbed at her working place. She succumbed to her injuries while
receiving treatment at the Horana Hospital, the police said.
Investigations revealed that the couple had an affair and the incident
had taken place following an argument.
