A successful seminar for students in the Commerce stream was
conducted at N D H Abdul Gaffoor Hall of Zahira College recently.
More than 750 students from 25 leading schools were invited and
attended this seminar.
It was conducted by Senior Prof Danny Attapattu of Ruhunu University,
Matara. Prof Attapattu is well known as an author, writer and lecturer
of Economics and has contributed greatly for the development of this
subject.
This programme was sponsored by CIMA (UK) and Mindventures Business
Academy. It was organized by the Commerce Society of Zahira College
under the joint leadership of students Afzar Arham and M Ishan Zain.
When interviewed they said, "This was our maiden effort and we intend
to have more of such informative and educational programmes annually for
the benefit of our commerce students."
Zahira College Principal Mohamed Jiffrey, Deputy Principal Rizvi
Marikkar and teachers were also present at the seminar. |
