Nabbed for offering bribe

A suspect was taken into custody by the Ahungalla Police for trying
to offer a bribe of Rs 100,000 to a sub inspector to set him free in a
ganja case. He was produced before Balapitiya Magistrate Asanka
Bodaragama and remanded pending further investigations.
Meanwhile the Ahungalla police has also reported this incident to the
Commission to Investigate allegations of Bribery and corruption.
