Chevron Lubricants President Danny Roden accompanied by Vice President Lubricants Asia Pacific region and Chevron Lubricants Lanka Chairman Farrukh Saeed are now in Sri Lanka.

This is the first time in the history since Caltex’s return to the country with the acquisition of Lanka Lubricants in 1994; a head of Chevron’s lubricants operation is visiting Sri Lanka.

Chevron Lubricants Lanka Limited (CLLPLC) CEO and MD Kishu Gomes said the global President is here to review Sri Lanka operations.

During the two day visit Roden and Saeed will visit all CLLPLC operating locations including the manufacturing plant, warehouse operation run by Hayley’s Logiwiz, Caltex Regional warehouses, strategic business partners and key channel partners.

Gomes said with permanent peace, Sri Lanka’s investment climate is turning to be very conducive to foreign direct investments.

“The opening of the North East has really helped our bottom line and opened up many opportunities,” he said.

He said the last financial year was very attractive and they had a record Rs. 1.5 billion profit.

CLLPLC has recorded a bottom line growth of 6 percent Year To Date as at June, 2011, despite the sharp increase in raw material costs in the global market. Bangladesh and Maldives markets come under the direct purview of CLLPLC and have recorded positive volume and revenue growth.
