ETI, Havicus launch Paradise project
February 4, the Sri Lankan Independence Day, was especially chosen to
lay the first stone of the prestigious Matara Fort Paradise project of
Havicus Sri Lanka.
The contractor in-charge of bringing this project to a conclusion is
the highly esteemed ETI.

Upon finishing, this project will consist of seven luxury villas, all
situated at the idyllic estuary of the Nilwala river into the Indian
Ocean.
All seven names reference to that unique location: Matara Fort Ocean
Villa, Matara Fort Sunset Villa, Matara Fort Sands Villa, Matara Fort
Breeze Villa, Matara Fort Riverine Villa, Matara Fort Ganga Villa and
Matara Fort Estuary Villa.
Some other projects of Havicus Sri Lanka are Nilaveli Golden Paradise
- with its three highly conceptual villas based on different types of
sea shells - and Kalpitiya Lagoon Paradise with 22 villas of three
different types.
To celebrate the start of the Matara Fort Paradise project the first
foundation was ceremonially laid.
February 4 is already a special day, but the exact time schedule of
the celebration was equally significant and particularly calculated
according to local traditions.
With this Havicus Sri Lanka proves once again how much it values the
customs of the community.
To start off the first Havicus Sri Lanka project in a positive way,
representatives of all four major Sri Lankan religions were present.

Operational Manager Priyadarshana Jayawardana and ETI Executive Director
Nalaka Edirisinghe, ETI Chief Executive Officer Mahendra de Silva and
rest of the staff of ETI Builders, all people interested, neighbours,
sympathizers and fishermen joined the reception.
Ogilvy PR Head meets PR giants
Regional Leaders' Conference:
What if there was no media in Sri Lanka? How would a public relations
company operate? This was one among many intriguing questions asked and
answered at the recent Ogilvy PR APAC Regional Leaders Conference in
Phuket, Thailand.
Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide Sri Lanka General Manager Manilka
Philips took part in the high energy conference aimed at inspiring the
Ogilvy leadership in the Asia Pacific region to do business differently.
The four day conference brought together over 60 participants from
the Asia pacific region and saw senior level participation from Ogilvy
PR's global hub in New York.
The conference addressed core trends and concerns in the industry and
explored the possibilities of offering a bigger and better portfolio of
services to clients across the region.
A special training and knowledge sharing sessions was held on Social
Media and digital influence, healthcare and internal communications.
The extensive knowledge sharing session sparked new thinking for a
more integrated business strategy for the Asia Pacific region, further
connecting and networking each end market.
Lafarge holds Star Awards
Lafarge Star Awards was held recently. The dealer convention is held
annually to recognize the strengths of Lafarge Mahaweli Cement's
distributors, agents and dealers whose commitment has made Lafarge
Mahaweli Cement a sought after product in construction.
A total of 74 distributors and 35 exclusive agents were recognized
for the year 2010.
An elaborate star theme was prominent at the convention which was
held at the Samudra Ballroom, Taj Samudra Hotel. The deco and even
certificates and trophies carried the theme adding glitz and glamour to
the event that was attended by over 300 dealers, distributors and
agents.
Lafarge is a global producer of mainly cement, concrete, aggregates
and gypsum with 84,000 employees, 79 countries and 2189 production sites
worldwide.
Lafarge Mahaweli Cement is Lafarge's Sri Lankan counterpart.
The highlight of the Star Awards was the awards ceremony where 71
certificates were handed out and, in addition, 36 trophies were awarded.
The certificates were presented by the management and the trophies were
handed out by the Managing Director Hedi Rafai and Sales and Marketing
Manager Sarath Ratnayake, following a short address also by Hedi Rafai. |
