ICA national conference

The National Conference of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICA) of Sri Lanka will take place from October 28 to 30, 2010 at Water's Edge, Battaramulla. The conference theme is 'World sees opportunity in Sri Lanka". Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa will inaugurate the sessions.

This year marks the 31st National Conference of the Institute, which was inaugurated in 1980. The conference is known to bring together the knowledge, expertise and experience of a panel of high profile speakers from both the local and international arena. This is why the conference brings together a significant number of representatives from the business fraternity of Sri Lanka", states Arjuna Herath Chairman National Conference Committee and Council Member of ICASL.

The 31st National Conference will be in line with a business forum. Topics such as "Sri Lanka - The way forward and the Role of Professionals, "Opportunities and Challenges in the Green Economy", "Attracting Foreign Direct Investment Opportunities for the Sri Lankan Corporate," "Risk in today's Board Room The CFO, the CEO, the Auditor, the Director the Chairman will be discussed as well as, "Business sense of IPRS - Opportunities to derive and 'Recent Business Failures and its impact on Economic Revival."

Samantha Rajapaksa, National Conference Technical Committee Chairman explains that the conference is known to bring together Business Leaders, CEOs CFOs, Functional Directors, General Managers, Senior Government Officials, Academics, Consultants as well as trainers.
